The Riders
Gregg Westerbeck
Meet Gregg Westerbeck, an avid cyclist for over 40 years who describes cycling as "being in his happy place". Gregg has participated in numerous triathlons, including completing the Hawaii Ironman in Kona three times. In April of 2016, Gregg retired from a career in Silicon Valley high tech and immediately began a coast-to-coast cycling trip from San Diego to St. Augustine, Fl, supported by his wife Cat. The trip took 24-days and covered 2,500 miles. Gregg raised money for a charity for at risk youth through the generous donations from family and friends. Now, he wants to take on another cycling adventure by riding from Canada to Mexico and raise money for Autism Speaks. Gregg and his wife personally know several families with autistic children or grandchildren so they are hopeful the money raised by this ride can help support families touched by autism.
